The annual fixture against Ealing LTC was played on Saturday, 6 August 2022. The sun was shining and the high quality grass courts set the scene for a fantastic match. Both teams managed to field strong players, most notable was George Loffhagen (Ealing LTC) previously ranked 680 ATP. The Pubs came away with a hard fought 2-2 draw after some high-calibre tennis on both sides in front of an animated crowd.
Overall, a superb afternoon of tennis and a very fair result of 2-2 kept both sides happy as they ventured for a post-match debrief. The match was played in good spirit and it was finished off nicely with some sandwiches and beers (for the Pubs team!). Thanks to Ealing Lawn Tennis Club and Men’s 1st team Captain, Alex Brown for putting on a great fixture, and match supper. We look forward to seeing you in 2023!
