On a glorious afternoon with the croquet and grass tennis courts brimming with home members, a strong PUBS team took the game to The Roehampton Club and recorded another fine win. The interesting fact from the match was ‘The eldest PUB on the day was 49 years young and the youngest 24 years old’ – what’s 25 years between team mates?
Our gratitude to Richard Ground and all at Roehampton for their fine hospitality and the superb spirit in which the match was played, even if they did request a ‘gentleman’s draw’ in the last match on court once the match had been decided – in true PUBS style we were of course happy to oblige !
