As a precursor to the Wimbledon ladies final, we held our annual match against St George’s Hill. A great morning of tennis was had by all on their superb grass courts basking in the July sunshine.
After four matches, the match ended up a very fair draw – although with a few Pubs members on the SGH team, maybe we can claim a win?! Post-match, all players retired to a private hut for a bbq and refreshments whilst watching Halep dismantle Serena in a far more one sided affair than the one that had been thrashed out during the preceding three hours!
Our thanks to St George’s Hill for their most generous hospitality. As ever, one of the most enjoyable fixtures, encapsulating the esprit du Pubs in full summer glory.
