PSOBLTA second pair: Jon Basell and Albert Lochte Jensen

- lost to Adam Gunasekara and Ricardo Monti 6-7, 6-3, 9-11
This year, the Campden Hill LTC boys turned up raring to go, looking fresh in their newly launched “Clutchouse Tennis” kit. The first rubbers were very closely fought with PUBS 1st pair, Ben R. and Ed, taking their first match in two sets with some high-calibre doubles whilst 2nd pair, Jon and Albert, narrowly lost theirs 9-11 in the champs tie-break. The next rubbers saw a reversal of fortunes with Ben R. and Ed losing by small margins whilst Jon and Albert claimed victory with a scramble back from 6-0 down in the final tie-break to take it 8-6. The fixture finished 2-2.
Afterwards, the club provided a superb match tea on the balcony and some stayed on for the in-house comedy night which followed (the MC was none other than PUB’S own Andy Hill). It was a highly entertaining fixture and we look forward to next year.
